Christine Miller

Dear Parents,

"Getting ready" is important at this time of year, so I am posting a little early so you will be aware of things happening next week.

Here are our academic plans for the week of December 11th.  We will have a "regular academic schedule" Monday through Thursday.  Students will be comparing a biography to a fictionalized peice using a Venn Diagram.  We will have mentor sentence work focusing on complex sentences, compound verbs, and use of commas in a series.  We will also  be summarizing and responding to literature read aloud in class.

Attendance continues to be important, especially since this is the last week of the grading period.

Please be reminded that your child can access Reading Eggspress and IXL from home. We will be working on IXL C.3, W.2, R.2 and R.3 next week.

Party information:  A letter is being sent to Mrs. Miller's homeroom on December 6th.  We will have Christmas goodies after lunch, with the party being held from 12:30 - 1:30.  Students are invited to join faculty and staff in wearing "ugly Christmsas sweaters".  If you would like to help with party items, please check off what you can send and wait for a confirmation note from me.  That way, we will have a good variety.

Thank you,
Mrs. Miller

* Students may use IXL and Reading Eggspress from home.  Login information is in students' planners. Please read each night.
